Rummy formats and stakes on Yono VIP Game

Rummy covers sequence rules, point formats, deal formats, stake tiers and settlement. The destination surface publishes the exact entry values and the table rules.

Formats

Points and Deals - the two formats the source brand surfaces

Points

Per-point stake

Each point has a real-money value. The table stakes are set by the destination surface; one published value is ₹0.1 per point at the lowest tier.

Deals

Fixed-deal rounds

The table plays a fixed number of deals. The published entry value is ₹5 for two deals at the lowest tier.

Sequences

Sequence rules

A pure sequence is mandatory. The second sequence can be pure or impure. The destination surface publishes the exact validation.

Stakes

Entry tiers published by the source brand

The source brand surfaces two entry values at the lowest tier: ₹8 for Points with a 1-point = ₹0.1 conversion, and ₹5 for two Deals. Higher tiers are published inside the app and are not reproduced here.

Settlement

How a hand settles

A hand ends when one player declares a valid show. The destination surface validates the declaration, declares the winner, calculates the point value, and applies the rake. The destination surface publishes the rake and the validation logic.

Rummy cards laid out on a table for a sequence

Points format

Each card has a point value. Face cards are 10 points, aces are 10 points, numbered cards are face value. The winner's ungrouped cards are counted against the loser at the end of the round.

A typical Points round uses a 101-point drop-out value: the first player to reach 101 points of losses drops out of the table. The exact drop-out value is set by the table; check the table card before entry.

The joker is a wild card that can substitute for any card in a set or sequence. A pure sequence has no joker; an impure sequence uses a joker as a substitute.

Deals format

A fixed number of deals is played, typically two or three. The player with the lowest cumulative points at the end of the last deal wins the table.

Deal-by-deal scoring follows the same point values as the Points format. The difference is that the table ends after the scheduled number of deals instead of after a drop-out.

Deal tables are usually faster than Points tables and have a tighter per-deal pace. The destination surface shows the deal pace on the table card.

Sequence rules

A valid sequence is three or more consecutive cards of the same suit. A pure sequence has no joker; an impure sequence uses a joker as a substitute.

A valid set is three or four cards of the same rank, different suits. Sets cannot include jokers as substitutes.

A declaration requires one pure sequence and one impure sequence (or two pure sequences in some variants), with the remaining cards grouped into valid sets or sequences. The destination surface's table card specifies the variant.

Deals Rummy - Fixed number of deals, 2-6 players, medium pace. The second most common variant.

How scoring works in detail

Face cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10 points each. Aces are worth 10 points each. Numbered cards are worth their face value.

The joker is a wild card that can substitute for any card in a set or sequence. The joker is announced at the start of the round.

At the end of the round, the winner's ungrouped cards are counted against the loser. If the loser has no ungrouped cards, they score zero.

How the joker is chosen

At the start of the round, the destination surface picks a card at random. The joker is the card of the same rank and any suit. For example, if the destination surface picks the 7 of hearts, all four 7s become jokers.

The joker is a wild card that can substitute for any card in a set or sequence. The joker cannot be used as an ace in some variants; check the table card.

If the destination surface picks a printed joker (a joker card in the deck), the printed joker is the wild card and no card is assigned a wild rank.
